Jana Kramer, best known for her role in “One Tree Hill,” and her
fiancé Allan Russell are filled with joy as they welcome their first
child together. Their son, Roman James Russell, was born on November
13th, weighing in at 6 pounds and 1 ounce.
In a heartfelt statement to People, the couple shared their
happiness, saying, “Allan and I are both overjoyed and truly grateful to
announce the birth of our son, Roman James Russell. We feel blessed to
have been given the chance to create something so special together.”
When discussing the name, Jana revealed, “The name Roman really isn’t
inspired by anyone, it’s just a strong name that we both love. But
James, his middle name, was both of our grandpas’ names, so that was a
nod to them.”
Jana also gave her Instagram followers a glimpse into her birthing
experience. One photo shows her holding Roman shortly after his birth,
while another captures a tender moment between her and Allan as he
comforts her in the delivery room.
The 39-year-old actress surprised fans in June by announcing her
pregnancy, just one month after revealing her engagement. Accompanying
the announcement were photos of her positive pregnancy test, where she
expressed her gratitude, saying, “Beyond blessed and grateful for this
baby to be a part of our story.”
Allan, 42, joined in the excitement on social media, humorously
predicting a shortage of yellow carbs or cheese due to Jana’s cravings
over the coming months.
This isn’t Jana’s first time as a mother. She has two children from
her previous marriage to Mike Caussin: Jolie, 7, and Jace, 4. Allan also
has a teenage son from a prior relationship.
Jana’s past with Mike Caussin had its share of challenges, including
his infidelity and treatment for sex addiction, which eventually led to
their separation in 2021. Jana has been open about her journey of
healing and moving forward.
Despite their split, Jana and Mike have remained committed
co-parents, coming together for significant moments in their children’s
lives, like Jolie’s father-daughter dance and Jace’s birthday party.
